Introduced in 2015, The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 was developed in collaboration with Dallara. It features the 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 engine of the standard car with 388 kW (520 hp; 527 PS) and 510 N⋅m (376 lb⋅ft) of torque and has a weight of 1,230 kg (2,712 lb).

Team Lazarus won the 2016 International GT Open with drivers Thomas Biagi and Fabrizio Crestani. Also, Barwell Motorsport claimed four wins in the 2016 British GT Championship, Grasser Racing Team won a race at the 2016 ADAC GT Masters, and Paul Miller Racing won at the 2016 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

On 28 January 2018 on the first race of the 2018 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the No. 11 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 of GRT Grasser Racing Team finished 1st at the 2018 24 Hours of Daytona in the GTD class. It was the first time that Lamborghini has won a 24-hour race in history. The No. 48 Huracán of Paul Miller Racing went on to win the drivers, teams, and manufacturers championships for Lamborghini.

The Huracán GT3 EVO is the successor to the Huracán GT3. It features the upgraded 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 engine, now with 433 kW (580 hp; 588 PS) and 488 N⋅m (360 lb⋅ft) of torque and has a slightly reduced weight of 1,229.4 kg (2,710 lb).

The Huracán GT3 EVO2 was designed and developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse based on the Huracán STO, with which it shares essential design elements, the fact that it is equipped with rear-wheel drive only, and its naturally aspirated V10 engine. The GT3 EVO2 fully complies with new FIA 2022 technical regulations and features original aerodynamic innovations and an all-new intake system.

The unmistakable hexagonal airscoop design and the rear fin are derived from the Huracán STO and contribute to a more efficient intake system. The airscoop is connected to a snorkel which optimally channels the airflow directly into the engine, resulting in greater responsiveness to the driver’s demands. The introduction of 10 electronically actuated throttle bodies increases the efficiency of the V10 with titanium valves.

The all-carbon-fiber bodywork features a muscular design created in collaboration with Lamborghini’s Centro Stile. The new splitters, diffuser and underbody ensure exceptional aerodynamic load. There are also innovations for the rear wing, with new supports that allow for precise adjustment of the wing itself.
